A friend of mine proudly told me that she had been for a dip locally this weekend - in the snow - air temperature 1 degree, and water temperature 3 degrees.

The snow has covered the ice making it slippery underfoot. It is 7.45 am and dark, but my friend Vicky and I have head torches and the moon is bright.
